Acciajuóli

Acciajuóli (Acciajoli, spr. atscha-), alte und angesehene Adelsfamilie, die, um 1160 aus Brescia in Florenz eingewandert, hier durch Handels- und Bankiergeschäfte zu großem Reichtum und großer Bedeutung gelangte; sie erlosch 1834. Niccolò A. (geb. 1310, gest. 1366), berühmter Feldherr König Roberts von Neapel, erwarb ansehnliche Besitzungen in Griechenland; infolgedessen herrschten mehrere A. als Herzöge von Athen, Theben und Korinth bis zur türkischen Eroberung.
