County-Council

County-Council (engl., spr. kauntĭ-kaunßĭl, abgekürzt C. C., »Grafschaftsrat«), etwa soviel wie Kreisausschuß, ist nach der Neuordnung der örtlichen Verwaltung in England (1888) das leitende Organ der Grafschaftsverwaltung, dessen Mitglieder von den Grafschaftsangehörigen gewählt werden (s. Großbritannien [Verwaltung]).
