Grafschaft Durham, am Tees, mit gotischer Kirche, Ruine eines 1112–32 von Barnard Baliol erbauten Schlosses, einem Kunstmuseum (1875 von John Bowes von Streatham der Stadt geschenkt) und (1901) 4421 Einw. 3 km nordöstlich Streatham Castle mit Wildpark.
