Warwick (spr. ŭárrick), 1) Hauptstadt (municipal borough) von Warwickshire (England), mit der gotischen Kirche St. Mary's (sehenswert die Beauchamp-Kapelle mit Denkmälern), dem alten W. Castle, dem schönsten Feudalpalast Englands, der reiche Kunstsammlungen enthält (1871 teilweise durch Feuer zerstört), Lateinschule, Freibibliothek, dem Lord Leicester-Hospiz (1571), zwei Hospitälern aus dem 12. Jahrh., Fabrikation von Gelatine, Eisenwerken, Brauerei und (1901) 11,889 Einw. Mit Leamington (s. d.) bildet W. fast eine Stadt. Vgl. Counteß of Warwick, W. Castle and its earls (Lond. 1903, 2 Bde.). – 2) Seestadt im nordamerikan. Staate Rhode-Island, 14 km südwestlich von Providence, an der Narragansettbai, hat große Baumwollfabriken und (1900) 21,316 Einw. – 3) Aufblühende Stadt im britisch-austral. Staat Queensland, am Condamine, unfern der Nordgrenze von Neusüdwales, in reicher landwirtschaftlicher Umgebung, an der Eisenbahnlinie Brisbane-Sydney, mit (1901) 3836 Einw.
