Beldiman

Beldiman, Alexander, rumän. Staatsmann, geb. 1845 aus einer moldauischen Bojarenfamilie, erzogen in Dresden und Berlin, studierte in Berlin die Rechte und erlangte 1876 mit einer Preisarbeit eine goldene Medaille und 1877 die Doktorwürde. 1878 als Attaché von Bratianu zum Berliner Kongreß mitgenommen, wurde er dann Geschäftsträger in Sofia, Legationssekretär in Wien und Berlin, Direktor der politischen Abteilung und Generalsekretär des Ministeriums des Auswärtigen in Bukarest. Nachdem er wegen der innern politischen Verhältnisse Rumäniens einige Jahre aus dem Staatsdienst getreten war, wurde B. 1896 Gesandter in Berlin und vertrat 1899 Rumänien auf der Haager Friedenskonferenz.
