Jurisich (spr. -itsch), Nikolaus, Verteidiger der Feu ung Güns gegen die Türken, spielte seit 1527 auf den kroatischen Landtagen eine hervorragende Rolle, begleitete 1530 den kaiserlichen Gesandten Lamberg nach Konstantinopel und schlug im Sommer 1532 den Ansturm Suleimans gegen das schwach befestigte Güns heldenmütig zurück. Ferdinand I. ernannte ihn zum Freiherrn von Güns. Er wurde 1538 Nachfolger Katzianers und starb um 1544.
