Bode, 1) linker Nebenfluß der Saale, entsteht bei Königshof aus der Kalten und Warmen B., die am Brockengebirge, jene oberhalb Schierke, diese oberhalb Braunlage entspringen und sich unterhalb Rübeland noch rechts durch die von Benneckenstein kommende Rappbode verstärken. Bei Treseburg tritt die B. in ein wildromantisches, enges Felsental, das sie zwischen Roßtrappe und Hexentanzplatz oberhalb Thale verläßt, um in das Tiefland einzutreten. Sie mündet nach einem 160 km langem Lauf bei Nienburg. Ihre wichtigsten Zuflüsse sind links die Holzemme, rechts die Selke. Durch den Großen Bruchgraben steht die B. von Oschersleben ab mit der Ilse in Verbindung, wodurch das Elb- und Wesergebiet miteinander verbunden werden. – 2) Fluß im preuß. Regbez. Erfurt, entspringt auf dem Ohmgebirge und mündet unterhalb Bleicherode links in die Wipper.
