Soheír (S. ibn Abi Sulmâ, Zuhair), berühmter arab. Dichter der Zeit kurz vor Mohammed. Seine »Moallaka« (s. Arabische Literatur, S. 657,1. Spalte) ist einzeln herausgegeben mit dem Kommentar des Nahhâs von Hausheer (Berl. 1905), übersetzt von RückertHamasa« I, Zugabe 1 zu Nr. 149) und von NöldekeFünf Mo'allaqāt«, Heft 3, Wien 1901). Sein »Diwan« ist bearbeitet worden von Ahlwardt in den »Six ancient poets« (Lond. 1870), von Landberg in »Primeurs arabes« (Bd. 2, mit dem Kommentar des A'lam, Leiden 1889, nachgedruckt Kairo 1323 d. H.) und von Dyroff (»Zur Geschichte der Überlieferung des Zuhairdiwans«, Münch. 1892). Vgl. Kaab.
