Sathas, Konstantin N., griech. Historiker, geb. 1841 zu Galaxidi in Lokris, studierte in Athen erst Medizin, dann Geschichte und veröffentlichte 1865 eine Arbeit über die Geschichte seiner Vaterstadt im Mittelalter. Mit staatlicher Unterstützung unternahm er wissenschaftliche Reisen und lebt in Paris. Er schrieb: »Geschichte der griechischen Literatur seit der Eroberung von Konstantinopel« (Athen 1868); »Geschichte Griechenlands unter der osmanischen Herrschaft« (1869); »Die Geschichte des Patriarchats von Konstantinopel im 16. Jahrhundert« (Athen 1870); »Geschichte des griechischen Theaters im Mittelalter« (1879, 2 Bde.). Ferner gab er heraus: »Bibliotheca graeca medii aevi« (»Μεσαιωνιϰὴ βιβλιοϑἡϰη«, Vened., dann Par. 1872–94, 7 Bde.) und »Documents inédits relatifs á l'histoire de la Grèce an moyen-âge« (1. Abt., Par. 1880–90, 9 Bde.); »The History of Psellus« (Lond. 1899; fehlerhafte Ausgabe).
