Lebanon (spr. lébbänön), Name mehrerer Orte in der nordamerikan. Union: 1) Hauptstadt der gleichnamigen Grafschaft in Pennsylvanien, 50 km östlich von Harrisburg, mit Hoch- und Koksöfen, Walzwerken, Maschinenbau und (1900) 17.628 Einw. Etwa 8 km davon die »Cornwall-Erzbänke« (Eisen und Kupfer); auch schöner Marmor wird gebrochen. – 2) Hauptort der Grafschaft Boone des Staates Indiana, mit Fabriken und (1900) 4465 Einw. – 3) Stadt in der Grafschaft Grafton des Staates New Hampshire, am Muscoma River, dessen Fall die Wasserkraft für mehrere Fabriken liefert, mit (1900) 4965 Einw. – 4) Ort in der Grafschaft Meigs des Staates Ohio, mit Normalschule, Bibliothek und (1900) 1798 Einw.
