Union: 1) Hauptstadt der Grafschaft Jackson in Missouri und Villenvorort von Kansas City, hat höhere Schulen und (1900) 6974 Einw. – 2) Hauptstadt der Grafschaft Buchanan in Iowa, mit kath. Seminar und Kloster, Staatsirrenanstalt und (1900) 3656 Einw. – 3) Hauptstadt der Grafschaft Montgomery in Kansas, am Verdigris River, in fruchtbarer Gegend, Eisenbahnknotenpunkt, mit Produktenhandel und (1900) 4851 Einw.
