Hatifi

Hatifi, Abd Ullah, pers. Epiker, gebürtig aus Chardschird in der Provinz Dschâm, war ein Schwestersohn Dschamis (s. d.); starb in seiner Geburtsstadt 1521. Seine Hauptwerke sind die epischen Gedichte: »Leila und Medschnûn« (hrsg. von Jones, Kalk. 1788; lithogr., Lakhnau 1862); »Schîrîn und Chosrau«; »Heft Mansar«; »Tîmûrnâme«, auch »Zafarnâme« genannt, Darstellung der Taten Tamerlans, die H. 40 Jahre lang beschäftigte (lithogr., Lakhnau 1869), und, unvollendet, eine Verherrlichung der Siege Schah Ismaïls. Alle fünf sind Nachahmungen des bekannten »Fünfers« Nisamis.
