Tolúca (Toloccan), Hauptstadt des mexikan. Staates Mexiko, 2680 m ü. M., an der Bahn Mexiko-Acambaro, in wohl angebauter, von hohen Bergen umschlossener und im SW. von dem 4570 m hohen Nevado de T. (Xinantecatl), einem erloschenen Vulkan (mit Kratersee in der Höhe von 4090 m), überragter Talebene, hat eine schöne Kathedrale, Theater, höhere Schule, Seifen- und Kerzenfabrikation, bedeutende Schweinezucht, Handel mit Würsten und Schinken und (1900) 25,940 Einw.
