Barge (spr. bardsche), Stadt in der ital. Provinz Cuneo, Kreis Saluzzo, am Fuß des Monte Bracco und an der Flügelbahn Pinerolo-B., hat Schieferbrüche, Handelsverkehr und (1901) als Gemeinde 9281 Einw. – B., eine alte Stadt, hieß zur Zeit der Römer Borgae, kam in der Folge an die Langobarden, an die Markgrafen von Turin, endlich an Savoyen. Als Karl Albert 23. März 1849 der Krone entsagte, ging er als »Graf von B.« nach Oporto.
