Baramūla

Baramūla, kleiner Ort in Kaschmir, am Dschelam, über den hier eine Brücke führt. Dabei 40 km unterhalb die Baramulasschlucht, wo der bei B. 125 m breite Dschelam zwischen 2300 m hohen Felswänden sich zu 23 m verengert. Durch diese Schlucht führt einer der besten Wege vom westlichen Pandschab nach Srinagar (Kaschmir).
