Nabigha

Nabigha, arab. Dichter aus dem Stamm Dhubjân, lebte hauptsächlich am Hof der Lachmiden (s. d.) in Hira, hier in Ungnade gefallen eine Zeitlang am Hof der Ghassaniden (s. d.) in Damaskus und soll wenige Jahre vor dem Auftreten Mohammeds gestorben sein. Sein »Diwan« wurde herausgegeben von Ahlwardt in »The divans of the six ancient Arabic poets« (Lond. 1870), mit franz. Übersetzung von H. Derenbourg (Par. 1869; dazu »Complément«, das. 1899). Vgl. Ahlwardt, Bemerkungen über die Echtheit der alten arabischen Gedichte (Greifsw. 1872).
