Melton-Mowbray (spr. mellt'n-mōbri), Stadt in Leicestershire (England), am Wreak, 20 km nordöstlich von Leicester, inmitten eines der beliebtesten Jagdreviere Englands, mit Stallungen für 800Jagdpferde. M. hat eine schöne Kirche im frühenglischen Stil und (1901) 7454 Einw., es ist außerdem bekannt durch seine tonnenweise in den Handel gebrachten Pork-pies (Schweinefleischpasteten) und den Handel mit Stiltonkäse (s. Stilton).
