Fremont (spr. frīmönt), 1) Hauptstadt der Grafschaft Dodge im nordamerikan. Staat Nebraska, am Platte, nordwestlich von Omaha, mit Handel in Pferden und Getreide und (1900) 7241 Einw. – 2) Hauptstadt der Grafschaft Sandusky des nordamerikan. Staates Ohio, am Sanduskyfluß, südöstlich von Toledo, Bahnknotenpunkt und Dampferstation, mit höherer Schule, Naturgasquellen, Gewerbtätigkeit in Wolle, Eisen, Mehl und (1900) 8439 Einw.
