Cartmel, Stadt in dem Furneß genannten Teile von Lancashire (England), mit einer berühmten Abteikirche in Kreuzesform (von 1188) und (1901) 6270 Einw. In der Nähe Holker Hall, der Landsitz des Herzogs von Devonshire, mit Gemäldesammlung.
