Buonarrŏti, 1) Michelangelo, s. Michelangelo.

2) Filippo, franz. Revolutionär, geb. 11. Nov. 1761 in Pisa, gest. 15. Sept. 1837 in Paris, war in Pisa seit 1782 Advokat, wirkte für Rousseaus Ideen und siedelte nach Korsika über, wo er für die französischen Interessen und für eine Verbindung Italiens mit Frankreich tätig war. Nach Robespierres Sturz gründete er in Paris die Pantheonsgesellschaft zur Wiederherstellung der Konstitution von 1793 mit Babeuf (s.d.), an dessen Verschwörung er sich 1796 beteiligte. Nach deren Entdeckung ward er zu lebenslänglicher Deportation verurteilt, vom Ersten Konsul jedoch in Ostfrankreich unter polizeiliche Aussicht gestellt. Später begab sich B. nach Genf und von da nach Brüssel, wo er sein Buch »Conspiration de Babeuf« (Brüssel 1828) schrieb. Nach der Julirevolution zurückgekehrt, nährte er sich als Musiklehrer. Vgl.
