Schulhoff

Schulhoff, Julius, Klavierspieler und Komponist, geb. 2. Aug. 1825 in Prag, gest. 13. März 1898 in Berlin, bildete sich unter Tedesco im Klavierspiel und unter Tomaschek in der Komposition aus, ging 1841 nach Paris, wo er 1844 mit Erfolg öffentlich auftrat und in der Folge als gefeierter Virtuos und vielbegehrter Lehrer wirkte. 1870 ließ er sich in. Dresden, 1890 in Berlin nieder. Als Komponist hat er sich durch zahlreiche Klavierstücke im eleganten Salonton bekannt und beliebt gemacht.
