Pool (engl., spr. pūl, v. franz. poule, Spieleinsatz etc.), Vereinigung mehrerer Spekulanten zu gemeinsamen Unternehmungen, bez. zur Preisregulierung bestimmter Waren, also gleichbedeutend mit »Ring« und »Corner«. Das Wort wird insbes. auf die Tarifverbände der amerikanischen Eisenbahnen angewendet. Vgl. Kartell.
