Mitchelstown

Mitchelstown (spr. mittschelstaun), Marktstadt in der irischen Grafschaft Cork, 14 km nördlich von Fermoy, in anmutiger Lage zwischen den Kilworth- und den Galtee-Bergen, hat eine gotische evangelische und eine kath. Kirche, ein stattliches Schloß des Earls von Kingstown, mit schönem Park, ein prot. College (seit 1760) und (1891) 2312 Einw.
