Manyéma (Manjuéma), sehr gefürchteter Volksstamm im östlichen Kongostaat, nördlich vom Lukuga, der trotz des Überflusses an Nahrungsmitteln in diesem ungemein fruchtbaren Lande der Menschenfresserei in hohem Grad ergeben ist. Hellbraun, lieferten die gutgewachsenen M. den Arabern das erwünschte Menschenmaterial für ihre Raubzüge, indem sie über 30 Jahre dieselben bei den Sklavenjagden unterstützten. Das Land besuchte Livingstone 1869 und 1871, später Stanley, Cameron, Wissmann u. a.
