Athamanĭa, im Altertum Name einer Gebirgslandschaft in Epirus, die den Grenzdistrikt gegen Thessalien, zu beiden Seiten des Inachos, umfaßte und von den Athamanen bewohnt wurde. Letztere waren ein epirotischer Volksstamm, der zur Zeit der Kämpfe der Römer mit Philipp von Makedonien und den Ätoliern vorübergehende Bedeutung erlangte. Hauptort war Argithea am Inachos.
