Archestrātus, aus Gela, verfaßte um 330 v. Chr. ein parodisches Lehrgedicht »Hedypatheia« (»Wohlleben«) in Form einer gastronomischen Weltreise. Sammlung der Fragmente in Brandts »Poesis epica graeca ludibunda« (Leipz. 1888).
