Ive, Antonio, Romanist, geb. 1851 zu Rovigno in Istrien, studierte in Wien Philologie und Literaturgeschichte, wurde 1875 Professor am Gymnasium in Capodistria, 1882 Dozent an der Wiener Universität, darauf Gymnasialprofessor in Tirol und ist seit 1894 Professor der italienischen Sprache und Literatur an der Universität Graz. Von seinen Veröffentlichungen sind zu nennen: »Canti popolari istriani raccolti a Rovigno« (Turin 1877); »Novelline popolari rovignesi« (Wien 1877); »Fiabe popolari rovignesi« (das. 1878); »Raccolta di proverbi istriani« (das. 1881); »Prose genovesi« (im »Archivo glottologico italiano«, Bd. 8, 1882) und »L'antico dialetto di Veglia« (ebenda, Bd. 9, 1885–86); »Saggi di dialetto rovignese« (Triest 1888) und »I dialetti ladino-veneti dell' Istria« (Straßb. 1900). Mit Mazzatinti und Mandalari gab er die »Rimatori napoletani del Quattrocento« (Caserta 1885) heraus.
