Gomal (Gumal), Fluß, entspringt im östlichen Afghanistan östlich vom See Ab-i-Istadah, durchbricht nach Vereinigung mit dem Kundar und Zhob im Gomalpaß die Suleimankette und verliert sich, ohne den Indus zu erreichen, im Sande. Der bequeme, von den Karawanen der Povindahhändler stark benutzte Paß wird auf indischer Seite durch ein Fort beherrscht.
