Staates Neusüdwales, am rechten Ufer des Murray, auf dem bei Hochwasser Dampfer bis hierher gelangen können, und über den hier zwei Brücken führen, davon eine für die Eisenbahn Melbourne-Sydney, hat Hospital, Kloster, höhere Schule, in der Umgegend starken Getreide-, Tabak- und Weinbau, etwas Goldbergbau und (1900) 5500 Einw.
