Coelogyne Lindl., Gattung der Orchideen, mit dicht zusammengedrängten oder in großen Abständen auf dem kriechenden Rhizom sitzenden, wie die immergrünen Laubblätter mehrere Jahre frisch bleibenden Luftknollen und großen, einzeln oder in lockern Trauben stehenden Blüten. Über 50 Arten in Ostindien und auf dem Malaiischen Archipel. C. cristata Lindl., vom Himalaja, mit großen weißen, auf der Lippe gelb gezeichneten Blüten, wird als eine der ergiebigsten Schnittorchideen in Massen kultiviert, eignet sich auch zur Kultur im Zimmer.
