Biabanak, eine zuerst 1875 von Mac Gregor besuchte, als Straßenknotenpunkt wichtige Oasengruppe in der großen persischen Wüste, 200 km nördlich von Jezd, mit acht Dörfern. Der Hauptort ist Chur mit 400 von Persern und Arabern bewohnten Häusern und dichtem Palmenwald, aber schlechtem Wasser.
