Trophis Browne, Gattung der Morazeen, Bäume oder Sträucher mit abwechselnden, gestielten, ganzrandigen oder wenig gezahnten, bisweilen gelappten Blättern, diözischen Blüten in Scheinähren oder Scheintrauben und kugeligen, fleischigen Früchten. Von den 5–6 Arten in Westindien, Mexiko und dem andinen Südamerika wurde T. anthropophagorum L. (Malavi) als Gewürz bei kannibalischen Mahlzeiten benutzt.
