Pleasure-ground

Pleasure-ground (engl., spr. pläscher-graund, »Lustplatz«), in England der Teil eines Landsitzes, der sich rings um das Wohngebäude oder auf einer Seite desselben ausbreitet, ist vom Park durch eine leichte Umfriedigung getrennt und mit Rasen und schönen Gehölzen und Blumen bepflanzt, auch mit zierlichen Bauwerken und Werken der Plastik geschmückt.
