Lavaux (La Vaux, spr. -wō, deutsch Risthal), Bezirk im schweizer. Kanton Waadt, am Nordufer des Genfer Sees, zwischen Lausanne und Vevey, umfaßte 1900 in zwölf Gemeinden 10,471 meist reform. Einwohner. Während der nördliche und höhere Teil des Bezirks am Südabhang des Jorat wenig fruchtbar ist, bringt der südliche ausgezeichneten Weißwein hervor. Hauptort ist Cully (s. d.), am volkreichsten Lutry (s. d.).
