Kirkcudbrightshire (spr. körkūbrĭ-schĭr, auch East Galloway), Grafschaft im südlichen Schottland, wird im SO. von der Küste des Solway Firth, an der sich der isolierte Criffel (549 m) erhebt, im O. von Dumfriesshire, im NW. von Ayrshire, im W. von Wigtownshire begrenzt und umfaßt 2470 qkm (44,8 QM.) mit (1901) 39,407 Einw. (16 auf 1 qkm). Hauptstadt ist Kirkcudbright.
