Ixĭa L., Gattung der Iridazeen, schön blühende Zwiebelgewächse mit am Grunde des einfachen oder verzweigten Stengels gedrängt stehenden schwert- oder linienförmigen Blättern und längs des Stengels oder der Äste sitzenden Blütenständen. Von den 25 südafrikanischen Arten werden mehrere als Zierpflanzen kultiviert.
