Household words (engl., spr. háushōld-ŭorbbs, »Alltagsworte«), aus Shakespeares »Heinrich V.« (IV, 3) entnommener Ausdruck, den Dickens zum Titel eines seit 1849 erscheinenden literarischen Unterhaltungsblattes wählte (s. Dickens).
