Inseln: auf Pulo Pinang = 4,45 Lit., in der Stadt Malakka für Reis = 1/10 Mahs oder 2,95 kg, in Singapur = 4,73 L., in Palembang auf Sumatra = 1/10 Beli oder 3,7 kg, in Batavia auf Java für Kaffee etc. = 10 Catjes oder 6,152 kg, aber sonst in Bantam für Getreide und Salz = 8 Bämbuhs von 4 Catjes = 19,69 kg, in Bau djermassing auf Borneo für Reis = 6,05 kg und für Pfeffer = 16 batavische Catjes oder 9,843 kg; in Makassar auf Celebes bei den Eingebornen = 3,78 kg und bei der Niederländischen Handelsgesellschaft für Reis das 1 1/2fache; auf Amboina = 33/4 Kätti oder 2,215 kg; auf den Suluinseln für Reis = 4 chinesische Kätti oder 2,419 kg; bei den Holländern wie das japanische Schô = 1,815 L. Mit G. bezeichnet man auch eine Werteinheit von 25 Kangan auf der Philippineninsel Mindanao = 10 Silberpiaster.
