Centurīpe (Centorbi, spr. tschen-), Stadt in der ital. Provinz Catania (Sizilien), Kreis Nicosia, auf steiler Höhe (703 m) über dem Tal des Salso, südwestlich vom Ätna, mit Schwefelbergbau und (1901) 11,311 Einw. – C., das alte Kentoripa, wovon sich Reste erhalten haben, war einer der Hauptsitze der Sikuler und auch unter römischer Herrschaft ein bedeutender Ort. Seit Augustus geriet es in Verfall.
