Squillace (spr. ßkwillātsche), Flecken in der ital. Provinz und dem Kreise Catanzaro, 6 km westlich vom Golf von S. des Ionischen Meeres, an der Eisenbahn Metaponto-Reggio, Bischofssitz, mit Kathedrale, Seminar und (1901) 2869 Einw. – S. ist das antike Scylacium oder Scolacium, eine Stadt der Bruttier und Geburtsort des Cassiodorus.
