Spello, Stadt in der ital. Provinz Perugia, Kreis Foligno, am Südabhang des Monte Subasio, an der Eisenbahn Terontola-Foligno, hat drei antike Tore, mittelalterliche Türme, zahlreiche interessante Kirchen, darunter Santa Maria Maggiore (im 16. Jahrh. umgebaut) mit Fresken von Perugino und Pinturicchio und schönem Renaissance-Tabernakel am Hochaltar, dann Sant' Andrea (1190) mit großem Altarbild von Pinturicchio, alte Palastreste. Gymnasium, Technische Schule, Ölgewinnung und (1901) 2634 (als Gemeinde 5571) Einw. S. ist das alte Hispellum, wovon noch ansehnliche Reste (darunter die der Stadtmauern und eines Amphitheaters, ein Ehrenbogen [Arco della Fortezza] und zwei Tore mit Türmen) vorhanden sind.
