Bartoszewicz (spr. -toschéwitsch), Julian, poln. Geschichtsforscher und Literarhistoriker, geb. 17. Jan. 1821 zu Biala in Litauen, gest. 3. Nov. 1870 in Warschau, studierte auf der Petersburger Universität, war 1842–66 Gymnasiallehrer in Warschau und darauf Oberbibliothekar daselbst. Unter seinen zahlreichen, auf gründlichen Quellenforschungen beruhenden Werken sind hervorzuheben: »Bedeutende Männer Polens im 18. Jahrhundert« (Petersb. 1853–57, 3 Bde.); »Geschichte der polnischen Literatur« (Warsch. 1861; 2. Aufl., Krak. 1877); ferner »Die polnischen Krongroßfeldherren« (1862), »Urgeschichte Polens« (Krak. 1878, 4 Bde.), »Über die Jagiellonin Anna« etc. Die Gesamtausgabe seiner Werke (Krakau 1877–82) umfaßt 11 Bände.
