Provinz Salerno, Kreis Sala Consilina, zur Gemeinde Santa Marina gehörig, am gleichnamigen Golf des Tyrrhenischen Meeres, an der Eisenbahn Battipaglia-S. Eufemia, hat ein altes Kastell und (1901) 530 Einw. P., das alte Buxentum, war vormals eine bedeutende Stadt und wurde 1542 von den Türken zerstört. – 2) Ort, s. Petilia Policastro.
