Omophorĭon (griech.), eine zum byzantinischen Kaiserornat gehörige breite, mit Edelsteinen besetzte Schärpe, die um die Schulter geschlungen wurde und auf Brust und Rücken herabfiel. Das O. gehört auch zur liturgischen Kleidung der griechisch-katholischen Geistlichen und entspricht in seiner Gestalt dem Pallium (s. d.) der abendländischen Geistlichkeit.
