Aspropotămos, Hauptfluß Nordgriechenlands, entspringt am Grenzgebirge Peristeri und mündet nach 185 km langem, nach S. gerichtetem Lauf gegenüber Kephallinia in das Ionische Meer. Der Unterlauf des A. und sein Zufluß Megdova entsprechen zusammen dem Acheloos (s. d.) der Alten.
