Liskeard

Liskeard (spr. lißkárd), Stadt (municipal borough) in der engl. Grafschaft Cornwall, hat eine gotische Kirche St. Martin mit normannischem Turm, ein Stadthaus im italienischen Stil, Bergbau auf Zinn, Kupfer und Blei, Granitbrüche und (1901) 4010 Einw. Ein Kanal verbindet L. mit dem 5 km entfernten Hafen Loe (s. d.).
