Arctōtis L. (Bärenohr), Gattung der Kompositen, teils stengellose, teils verzweigte Kräuter mit einzeln stehenden, schön gefärbten Blütenkörbchen und zungenförmigen Strahlblüten. Von den 58 meist südafrikanischen Arten ist A. acaulis L. an der Küste Portugals verwildert und wird wie andre Arten als Zierpflanze kultiviert.
