Kamthi (Kampti), Stadt im Distrikt Nagpur der britisch-ind. Zentralprovinzen, am Kanhanfluß und der Eisenbahn dicht bei Nagpur, mit 70 Hindutempeln 5 Moscheen, protestantischer und kath. Kirche mit Kloster, starker Garnison, (1901) 38,888 Einw. (1851 Christen) und bedeutendem Handel mit Vieh, Baumwollenstoffen, Salz und Bauholz.
