Jastrow, Stadt im preuß. Regbez. Marienwerder, Kreis Deutsch-Krone, an der Staatsbahnlinie Posen-Neustettin, hat eine evangelische und eine kath. Kirche, Synagoge, Präparandenanstalt, Waisenhaus, Amtsgericht, Wollspinnerei, Tuch-, Maschinen-, Zigarren-, Schnupftabak-, Schuh- und Stiefelfabrikation, Elektrizitätswerk und (1900) 5418 meist evang. Einwohner. J. wurde 1603 durch König Siegmund III. von Polen zur Stadt erhoben und kam 1772 an Preußen.
