Antikyra, altgriech. Stadt in Phokis, am Korinthischen Meerbusen, mit gutem Hafen, beim jetzigen Aspraspina. A. wurde von Philipp von Makedonien zerstört und nach seiner Wiederherstellung 198 v. Chr. von den Römern erobert. In der Umgegend wuchs der beste Helleborus (Nieswurz), der den Alten als Heilmittel gegen Wahnwitz und Schwachsinnigkeit galt; A. ward infolgedessen zu einer Art Kurort.
